What to know

AWAKE’s Borealis translates the northern lights into a layered artisanal dial. A radiant guilloché pattern is cut by hand in Italy before the dial travels to Vietnam for multiple coats of natural-pigment Son Mài lacquer. The green and yellow tones follow the engraved lines, giving the surface a sense of movement rather than a simple printed gradient. AWAKE estimates that the complete dial process takes around 15 hours.

The watch shares the collection’s 38mm steel case, 44.75mm lug-to-lug length and 100-metre water resistance. Its La Joux-Perret G101 automatic calibre delivers approximately 68 hours of power reserve and is visible through a sapphire back. A Jean Rousseau Alcantara strap is fitted. Borealis is a 200-piece limited edition priced at €3,180 with taxes and duties included.
