What to know
French independent AWAKE brings two decorative crafts together in the Son Mài – Guilloché Main Sunset. Its brass dial is cut by hand on a straight-line engine in Italy to form a drapé-moiré pattern, then sent to Hanoi for layers of natural-pigment Son Mài lacquer. AWAKE says the combined dial work takes around 15 hours, producing a red-to-gold gradient that changes noticeably with the light.

The steel case measures 38mm across, 44.75mm lug to lug and 11.5mm including the top crystal. It is water resistant to 100 metres and houses the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve. A Jean Rousseau Alcantara strap completes the watch. Sunset is limited to 200 pieces and priced at €3,180 including taxes and duties, according to AWAKE.
