What to know
The GMC-2500-1A8 makes the 2500-series display unusually bright. Its silver-toned dial, hands and indexes sit behind a brushed metal bezel, while a black resin strap supplies the contrast. The date numerals, small-seconds register and minute track become graphic components rather than disappearing into a monochrome surface.

Casio uses the lighter 68-gram steel-and-resin construction, measuring 46.7 × 43.8 × 12.9 mm. The Shock Release Hand mounts the minute hand magnetically to dissipate impact, and the three-cell display changes role across calendar, stopwatch and settings. A full calendar, amber LED, mineral glass, 200-metre water resistance and two-year CR1025 battery estimate complete the package.
