What to know
Citizen’s Tsuyosa x seconde/seconde/ replaces the ordinary minute hand with a pixelated katana. The applied hour markers appear sliced apart, with separated pieces scattered toward the centre of the blue sunburst dial. The graphic idea connects an 8-bit-game aesthetic with a humorous interpretation of minutes dividing hours.
Reference NJ0157-81L retains the 40mm steel Tsuyosa case, integrated bracelet and magnified date. Automatic calibre 8210 provides approximately 42 hours of reserve, while water resistance remains 50 metres. Citizen specifies 3,600 unnumbered examples worldwide at $495. The collaboration changes the display’s visual language without converting the watch into an electronic or digital timepiece.
