What to know
The FFC makes a literal hand the centre of its time display. Articulated titanium fingers extend and retract to form twelve hourly indications, while a rotating peripheral track shows the minutes. The unusual mechanism grew from a conversation between François-Paul Journe and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.
The production model followed a unique Only Watch piece and was presented in 2023. Its 42mm platinum case houses the automatic calibre 1300.3, with an 18k rose-gold movement and approximately 120 hours of reserve. The fingers change instantaneously rather than slowly unfolding through each hour. Both photographs show the production FFC, preserving the distinction from its auction prototype.
