What to know

Farer’s Stratton II keeps the black Eisenkiesel stone dial and warm gold tones of its predecessor, but introduces a more realistic moon. Swiss specialist AJS Production uses laser micro-etching with layers of paint and Super-LumiNova to build the lunar image. Each natural stone dial retains its own golden-brown veining, making the surface different from watch to watch.

Farer’s own specifications list a 38.5mm steel cushion case, 11.5mm thickness and 50-metre water resistance. Inside is the hand-wound Sellita SW288-1, with approximately 45 hours of reserve, a date and moonphase display. The decorated movement is visible through the sapphire back. At £1,895, the initial batch comprises 100 watches, with shipping scheduled for 21 December and further batches planned for 2027.
