What to know
F.P. Journe’s Automatique groups hours, minutes and small seconds on the right, leaving the large date and reserve indication to occupy the open left side. The enlarged date window measures 4.7 by 2.6mm. A polished ring around the time display makes the dial read as an assembly of functional instruments rather than a conventional symmetrical face.

Automatic calibre 1300.3 has an off-centre winding rotor and a stated running autonomy of 160 ±10 hours. The family uses platinum or 18K 6N gold cases in 40 or 42mm diameters, measuring 10.7mm thick. The platinum configuration and its movement are illustrated here.
