What to know
The Chronomètre Optimum brings Journe’s research into power delivery to the surface. A visible remontoir wheel joins the off-centre hours, minutes and seconds, while a reserve indicator completes the instrument-like composition. Through the back, a separate deadbeat-seconds display gives another view of the movement’s behaviour.

Hand-wound calibre 1510 combines parallel barrels, a constant-force remontoir and the manufacture’s high-performance bi-axial escapement. F.P. Journe specifies a 70-hour power reserve. The platinum and gold case family is offered in 40 or 42mm diameters at 9.5mm thick. The gallery shows the platinum version, including the rose-gold movement.
