IWC’s Little Prince reaches the Portofino through a day-and-night display

The Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince introduces the literary theme to IWC’s dressier collection. Its blue sunray dial uses gold-plated hands and appliqués, while a small disc at six alternates the sun and moon over twenty-four hours. The Little Prince stands on the moon, with a further engraving on the solid steel caseback.

Reference IW459806 measures 34 mm across and 8.9 mm thick. Automatic calibre 35180 provides a 50-hour reserve and central hacking seconds. The case is water-resistant to 5 bar and protected by anti-reflective sapphire. IWC specifies a hand-coloured blue alligator-leather strap by Santoni with a quick-change system and folding clasp.
