What to know

Le Forban Sécurité Mer's Marseillaise pays tribute to the design known as the Monnin case, associated with the professional dive watches of the late 1970s. In Abyss Blue, its steel case surrounds a dial that fades from a vivid sunburst blue centre toward a dark perimeter, framed by a black elapsed-time bezel. Large round luminous markers and broad arrow-shaped hands keep the display clean underwater.

The contemporary case measures 40.8 mm across and 46 mm from lug to lug, slimmed down from the larger historical reference. A 120-click bezel, 250 m water resistance, screw-down crown, flat sapphire crystal and Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement give the watch modern technical credibility. The Dive Bund strap uses FKM rubber with a removable central protective pad.

The design was made and assembled in France, according to the revived brand, first established in 1969. It is an existing collection model; this editorial feature should not be read as a claim that the Marseillaise first launched in October 2026.
