What to know

Belgian independent Méraud refined its signature dive watch with the Bonaire MkII Onyx Black. The 40 mm stainless-steel case retains the original model’s restrained vintage character while adding a sapphire crystal, a black timing bezel and a matching black dial with applied luminous markers. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres, and the watch is supplied on a riveted steel bracelet.

Inside is a Swiss La Joux-Perret G100-family automatic movement with an extended 68-hour power reserve. The combination of compact proportions, practical diving specification and a clean no-date layout makes the Onyx Black a strong expression of Méraud’s Brussels-led design language. The model was introduced on 12 December 2023.
