What to know
Pequignet’s Royale Paris Chrono Black brings a reverse-panda-like contrast to the French manufacture’s first chronograph collection. Its 39.5mm steel case measures 12.7mm thick and 47mm lug to lug, balancing visual presence with relatively contained dimensions. The silver dial carries black counters for running seconds and the 30-minute register, plus a tachymeter scale around the perimeter.

The automatic Calibre Initial Chronograph uses a cam-actuated mechanism and is visible through the sapphire caseback. Sapphire also protects the dial, while water resistance is rated to 50 metres. Reference 9120513 is offered on a black Cordura-style strap at €6,450; a steel-bracelet version is also planned. The monochrome palette keeps attention on the architecture of the counters and the broad, faceted case rather than relying on a bright accent colour.
