Seiko’s HDB016 gives the SKX GMT a maroon-and-red US edition

Seiko has added the HDB016 to its SKX-inspired 5 Sports GMT range, pairing a deep maroon sunray dial with a red-and-dark-brown 24-hour bezel. Gold-toned accents on the GMT hand and inner scale warm up the familiar layout. The US edition keeps the rounded 42.5mm steel case, four-o’clock crown and stainless-steel bracelet associated with the collection.

Inside is the automatic 4R34, with manual winding, stop-seconds and approximately 41 hours of reserve. Its independently adjustable 24-hour hand makes this a caller-style GMT. The watch is rated to 100 metres and priced at US$525. Reporting describes a 5,500-piece edition and an expected US sales opening on 2 November; availability should be checked with authorised retailers rather than assumed from the announcement.
