What to know
Seiko’s SPB507J1 preserves the most traditional colour combination of its modern Alpinist family: forest green, gold-tone dial details and a dark brown leather strap. The shape traces its lineage to the Laurel Alpinist introduced in 1959, when Seiko designed its first sport watch for mountain recreation. A second crown adjusts the internal compass scale, while the date magnifier and cathedral-style hands keep familiar Alpinist character.
The steel case is 39.5 mm wide and 12.7 mm thick, with a sapphire crystal and a screwed crown. Calibre 6R55 delivers about 72 hours of reserve, and Seiko rates the watch to 200 m water resistance. Available since November 2025, this classic interpretation is listed at €980 in the Dutch catalogue. Compared with the bracelet-equipped SPB503 and SPB505, the leather strap makes it the most overtly heritage-oriented model of the trio.
