What to know

French watchmaker Stéphane Pierre’s first model, L’Impétrant, displays time through two jumping retrograde hands: hours on the left and minutes on the right. A small-seconds indication sits centrally, while power reserve is shown by a conical display on the front and a hand on the back. The Grade 23 titanium case measures 39mm across and 10.8mm thick before the crystal.

The hand-wound movement was developed in-house and comprises 295 components, 22 jewels and a large 11.5mm balance running at 3Hz with a Breguet overcoil. Its 70-hour reserve is paired with a Maltese-cross stopwork system intended to use the most stable portion of the mainspring’s torque. Monochrome reported a pre-tax price of CHF 84,000, with an initial subscription series of 15 pieces preceding a broader run of 50 titanium watches.
