Research method

Desk-based analysis of exact-reference Tudor specifications and official product photographs, corroborated by dated independent reporting. No hands-on testing; current local price and stock unverified. Historical reporting dates retained; no invented launch day. Three distinct official images visually checked against the exact reference, registered with original page/file URLs and published terms, and approved under Pieter’s temporary owner-directed official-site policy of 5 November 2026; no brand-issued licence asserted.

The analysis

The Black Bay 68 reference M7943A1A0NU-0001 combines a blue dial with a 43mm steel case. Tudor lists a 13.6mm thickness, 200-metre water resistance, an automatic MT5601-U and a 70-hour reserve. The movement carries COSC and METAS certification.

Size and certification answer different questions. Certification supports defined performance claims; it does not tell a wearer whether a larger dial and case feel balanced on the wrist. That remains a fit decision, particularly for someone choosing primarily from photographs.

The three-link bracelet includes T-fit adjustment. That is worth assessing together with case dimensions: adjustment can accommodate changes in fit, but cannot change the case footprint. The silver-dial M7943A1A0NU-0002 belongs in the same family comparison rather than a separate launch page.

This is a specification-led assessment, checked against Tudor’s model page and press kit plus dated launch reporting. No hands-on comfort claim, current local price or stock claim is made.
