Tudor’s Pelagos Ultra puts a 1,000-metre rating into a 43mm titanium case. Its automatic MT5612-U has COSC and METAS certification and a stated 65-hour reserve. Those figures describe capability; they do not establish whether its proportions suit an individual wearer.

The useful distinction is between features tied to exceptional conditions and those encountered daily. A helium escape valve addresses saturation diving. The two-colour luminous display gives the minute hand and bezel marker a separate visual role, while the T-fit bracelet and extension address adjustment.

For a buyer, the decision is therefore broader than choosing the largest depth number. The display and clasp deserve inspection alongside case fit. A technical specification cannot settle comfort, luminous duration or ease of operation with gloves; those require testing.
