Light replenishes a rechargeable cell that powers the quartz movement. Its six-month quoted running duration refers to a full charge, not the lifespan of the cell.

The manual provides insufficient-charge warnings and charging guidance. Eco-Drive names a technology used by many different calibres; verify E168 on the watch rather than treating all Eco-Drive specifications as interchangeable.
