What to know
The MING 29.06 Peep Show treats the passage of time as an optical effect. Its conventional hands are replaced by linearly polarised sapphire discs: when their filters align, light passes through and reveals the multiphasic, colour-shifting guilloché dial; at a 90-degree relationship, transmission is blocked and the display turns black. The transition repeats continuously as the two discs move at different speeds.

A bezel-free sapphire crystal stretches across the 40mm Grade 5 titanium case, which is 11.8mm thick and water-resistant to 50 metres. Schwarz-Etienne’s automatic ASE 200.M1 uses 29 jewels, a tungsten micro-rotor and skeletonised barrel, providing approximately 86 hours of reserve. Bridges and the stepped rotor guard carry diamond-cut anglage. The 50-piece edition was priced at CHF 22,000 excluding tax.
