What to know
Biver’s AB, short for Acier Biver, introduces two firsts for the young independent maison: a stainless-steel case and a manually wound movement. The newly drawn 38 mm case is 9.8 mm thick and water-resistant to 8 ATM. Its layered dial combines a black-DLC-treated 18k 2N-gold base with a polished onyx outer ring, gold hands and a discreet power-reserve display at 12 o’clock.

Inside, the proprietary JCB-004 uses two barrels for a stated 120-hour reserve and resets the small seconds when the crown is pulled. Its mainplate and bridges are made from palladium-rich PD210 white gold, while the gear train uses 2N yellow gold. The steel five-link bracelet includes a 4 mm micro-adjustment; an anthracite calf strap is also supplied. Biver lists the AB through its retailers and direct enquiries, while launch reporting quotes CHF 68,000.
