What to know
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Calibre 101 Chain places a small mechanical watch inside a sculptural jewellery bangle. Reference Q2842270 alternates diagonal bands of white diamonds and glossy black HyCeram within an 18-carat pink-gold structure. Its design recalls the linked bracelet of a Duoplan watch from 1955.

The manufacture says the bracelet was designed first, with the case and movement integrated afterwards. Inside is the manually wound Calibre 101, whose compact, two-level architecture dates to 1929. The current generation comprises 98 components while retaining the original movement dimensions. The result gives the bracelet’s shape and surface treatments visual priority, with a discreet rectangular dial showing hours and minutes.
