What to know

Trafford’s Violet Crown is a special edition of its Daytripper model whose dial turns from deep blue into vivid pink, punctuated by yellow details. Named for Austin, Texas, the colour treatment connects the watch with the maker’s local identity rather than with a conventional sports or dress category.

The distinctive choice is to let colour carry the story. Instead of printing a prominent skyline or commemorative motif onto the dial, Trafford uses a gradient and bright accents to suggest a place and atmosphere. That is a desk-based design reading, not a claim about the finish seen in person.

Trafford’s official site advertised a launch at 10 a.m. Central Time on 3 November 2026 and a US price of $799, with the watch shown as a special-edition preorder. Movement, dimensions, edition size and expected delivery need separate reference-specific verification before publication.
