What to know
The 2026 Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar refines a concept Vacheron Constantin first introduced in 2019: two selectable oscillator frequencies in one manually wound perpetual calendar. In Active mode, it runs at 5 Hz for daily wear, while Standby mode drops to 1.2 Hz to conserve energy. The updated movement extends its extraordinary reserve to 70 days, five days beyond the earlier version.
The 42 mm platinum case is just 12.32 mm thick. Its multi-layer openworked dial brings together slate-toned guilloché, sapphire elements and laser-frosted calendar displays. Underneath, the hand-wound calibre 3610 QP contains 480 components and 64 jewels. A case-side pusher changes operating modes without interrupting the indication of time or calendar information.

The importance of Twin Beat is not simply the headline reserve. A perpetual calendar is most convenient when it remains running, even if its owner alternates between watches. Vacheron’s dual-frequency engineering tackles that everyday problem through a genuinely unusual mechanical solution.
