Brew Metric Chrono Taxi: the New York cab-inspired chronograph drops October 19

Brew's Metric Chrono Taxi turns a familiar New York visual cue into a watch dial. Across its black surface runs a bright yellow checkerboard stripe that echoes the markings of a taxi cab, and the chronograph seconds hand carries the pattern still further. Instead of nostalgic restraint, the design celebrates the city's colour, energy and movement. The text 'New York' at six makes the inspiration explicit.

The angular 316L steel case measures 36 × 41.5 mm and is only 10.75 mm thick. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal, while the steel bracelet combines brushed and polished surfaces with a folding micro-adjustment clasp. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres. The caseback echoes the checkerboard motif and incorporates Brew's coffee-bean signature.

Inside sits a Seiko VK68 hybrid meca-quartz chronograph movement: quartz regulates time while a mechanical chronograph mechanism provides the tactile stopwatch action.
