Bulgari’s Tubogas Manchette turns a mechanical watch into a gem-set gold cuff

The Tubogas Manchette reference 104093 sits between high jewellery and mechanical watchmaking. A 16mm yellow-gold watch head is integrated into a single-coil bracelet measuring 135mm around, with a pavé diamond dial and a spectrum of spessartites, citrines, rubellites, peridots, amethysts and topazes. The gold structure is set with 11.98 carats of diamonds before the additional coloured stones are counted.

Inside, Bulgari uses its automatic Lady Solotempo BVS100. The 3.90mm-thick calibre runs at 3Hz and provides 50 hours of power reserve, with hours and minutes displayed by yellow-gold-plated hands. The juxtaposition is the point: what appears to be an exuberant cuff is also a compact manufacture watch, engineered rather than merely decorated.
