What to know
H. Moser & Cie. and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley have unveiled their first collaborative watch, an unexpectedly technical limited edition of the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton. Beneath an elevated blue aventurine subdial, the fully openworked HMC 811 automatic displays a one-minute flying tourbillon regulated by an in-house cylindrical hairspring.
The designers kept the personal references subtle. The numerals two and six receive special luminous emphasis, acknowledging Barkley's jersey number 26; a white rubber strap contrasts with the blue, star-flecked subdial. The use of a 42.8mm steel Pioneer case rather than precious metal makes the movement the obvious centre of attention.

Each watch provides 74 hours of power reserve and 120m water resistance. The edition is limited to 97 pieces, a reference to Barkley's birth year, with an official Swiss price of CHF 79,000 excluding VAT. Announced October 19, this is a collaboration about watchmaking first, with its sporting story woven into small details.
