What to know

The Nightshade Gen2 takes a design familiar from military field watches and brings it into Studio Underd0g's colourful world. Inspired by the patinated look of historic ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches, its deep purple-blue face and warm-toned numerals replace the usual utilitarian monochrome. Its secret is a layered dial: a 1mm tinted sapphire disc carries the markings above a silver sunray base, creating subtle shifting shadows as the light changes.

The compact 37.5mm stainless steel case is 11.5mm thick and rated to 100 metres. A hand-wound Swiss Sellita SW200-2 M Power+ offers 63 hours of power reserve, up from 42 hours on the earlier generation, and Super-LumiNova makes the display usable in the dark. Assembled in Great Britain and paired with a leather strap, the Nightshade shows how a playful independent brand can reinterpret a traditional tool watch without losing its functional clarity.
