What to know
The Black Bay 54 is the watch in Tudor's current range most closely associated with its original 1954 Submariner, and the 2026 edition finally wears a new shade of signature blue. Reference M79000B-0001 combines a sapphire-blue, sunray-brushed dial with a matching blue rotating bezel. The 37mm steel case, uncluttered bezel scale and lollipop seconds hand preserve the pared-back character of early dive watches.
The automatic Manufacture Calibre MT5400 delivers around 70 hours of power reserve and is COSC-certified. A screw-down crown and 200m water-resistance rating make this a practical compact diver rather than a purely nostalgic object. Tudor offers this version on a steel bracelet with the adjustable T-fit clasp, with a separate rubber-strap reference also available.
The effect is restrained but immediate: 1950s proportions become much more vivid through colour. Tudor presented the blue Black Bay 54 in its spring 2026 novelties, making it a distinct new reference rather than a retrospective look at the earlier black model.
