What to know

Ulysse Nardin has introduced the Freak S Howlite, a 15-piece United States edition that places a natural howlite hour disc beneath the collection’s rotating movement display. Because every stone is differently veined, each dial has a slightly individual appearance. The 45 mm titanium case keeps the familiar crown-free Freak layout, with time set through the bezel and winding handled from the caseback.

The automatic UN-251 calibre comprises 373 components and 33 jewels. Its defining feature is a differential linked to two inclined silicon balance wheels, each running at 2.5 Hz, while the movement itself acts as the minute hand. Power reserve is stated at 72 hours. The watch is fitted to a white alligator strap with a titanium folding buckle; Ulysse Nardin has not displayed a public retail price on the product page.
