The DEFY Revival A3643 has one of Zenith's strangest naming stories: the 2026 reproduction of the 1969 A3643 uses the modern catalogue reference 03.A3642.670/01.M3642. More important is the watch's fidelity to a surprisingly radical late-sixties shape. The 37mm stainless-steel case has an octagonal middle, a 14-sided bezel and a highly dimensional dial revived from a precision scan of a vintage example.
Its sunray silver surface is punctuated by two-tier markers, luminous blocks and an orange-tipped seconds hand. Date is discreet at 4:30. Through the modern sapphire back beats the automatic Elite 670 at 4Hz, good for 50 hours, and the steel ladder bracelet reprises Gay Frères' original 1969 design. Despite a dressy silver dial, water resistance is rated to a serious 300m, making the Revival more than a nostalgic display piece.
