What to know
The MING 37.06 Royal Selangor is an unusually local expression of Malaysian independent watchmaking. Royal Selangor hand-hammers each pewter dial in Kuala Lumpur, creating a softly irregular surface that changes with the light. The 88-piece edition also became the first MING run assembled locally, bringing the brand’s contemporary design language together with the family-owned pewter specialist’s 141 years of craft.

Its brushed Grade 2 titanium case measures 38mm across, 11.05mm thick and 44.73mm lug to lug, while the watch head weighs only 35.9 grams. Water resistance is 100 metres. Laser-engraved luminous indices sit in the domed sapphire crystal above the dial. The automatic Sellita for MING SW300.M1 has 25 jewels, skeletonised bridges and approximately 50 hours of reserve. The official launch price was CHF 5,000 excluding tax.
