What to know
Cartier's Roadster made a comeback at Watches and Wonders in April 2026, reviving the unusual sports-car-inspired watch first introduced in 2002. Its sculpted tonneau-shaped case, protruding crown and curved date magnifier return, but with more considered proportions and finishing.
The large steel model photographed here has a silver opaline dial, blue Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands. Its date window at three o'clock sits within an integrated magnifier that resembles a stylised headlight, an unmistakable signature of the Roadster.

At 47.2 by 38.7mm and approximately 10mm thick, the large watch houses Cartier's self-winding calibre 1847 MC. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. A redesigned integrated steel bracelet and QuickSwitch interchangeable-strap system modernise the daily-wear experience.
Cartier's 2026 Roadster is an interesting counterpoint to the Tank and Santos: still architectural, but bolder and more playful. The reborn line was unveiled on 14 April 2026.
