What to know
The dial of Chopard's L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25 transforms a humble material into haute horlogerie. Burgundy rye straw is flattened, cut into small polygons, then assembled into a honeycomb-like pattern across a gold base. A window at six indicates the hour as a jumping numeral while the central hand tracks the minutes.
The manually wound L.U.C 98.06-L calibre, made in-house and certified with the Poinçon de Genève, uses four barrels to reach 192 hours of reserve — eight days. The case measures 40mm across and 10.3mm thick, in ethical rose gold. First launched in April 2025 as reference 161977-5009, only eight of these artfully restrained pieces were offered.
