What to know
The rare green flash seen at the instant of sunset gives Citizen’s ATTESA CC4084-83Z its striking character. To recreate that brief natural phenomenon, the watch combines a green structural-colour layer beneath the dial with a dark, inkjet-printed overlay. Its sapphire bezel features a deep green finish created using vapour deposition, while yellow-gold-coloured accents pick out the indices and date surround.

This is an ambitious expression of Citizen’s 50 years of Eco-Drive. The light-powered F950 calibre receives satellite GPS time signals and provides world-time and chronograph functions. The Super Titanium case and bracelet use black Duratect DLC treatments, and the large 44.6 mm case is 15.4 mm thick. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar.
Announced on September 9 and released in Japan on October 1, 2026, the Green Flash edition is limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide. Citizen’s global announcement projected a US$2,515 price. A separate Purple Aurora edition shares the technology, but has its own distinct design and reference.
