What to know
The CITIZEN AQ4100-65X brings traditional Japanese papermaking into modern precision timekeeping. Its deep-crimson dial uses exceptionally thin Tosa Tengujoshi washi paper from Kochi Prefecture, with a subtle texture that remains visible beneath the richly coloured surface. Golden touches on the seconds hand and eagle emblem add warmth to the red and silver palette.

The 38.3 mm case and bracelet use Citizen’s scratch-resistant Super Titanium with a bright Duratect Platinum finish. Power comes from the A060 Eco-Drive quartz movement, designed to achieve an annual accuracy of ±5 seconds. It also has a perpetual calendar, while the sapphire crystal and 10-bar water resistance make this more than a delicate display of craft.

Limited to 300 pieces worldwide, the AQ4100-65X was announced on September 17 ahead of a scheduled October 8, 2026 launch in Japan. Citizen’s global release indicated a projected US$3,000 price, with final regional pricing and availability subject to change.
