What to know
Independent watchmaker Dominique Renaud makes an emphatic return with the Pulse60, a watch that challenges the assumption that faster always means better. Its hand-wound BUA2024 calibre beats at just 1Hz, driven by a remarkable 20mm balance. The movement’s high-amplitude architecture is designed to improve stability while allowing the regulating system to become the visual centre of the watch.
The time is displayed at twelve o’clock, a naturally stepping half-second display sits at nine, and a torque indicator at three reads the power remaining at the barrel. The partially open dial turns the movement’s operation into a graphic, architectural composition.

The Grade 5 titanium watch measures 40 by 44mm and 12mm thick, with a four-day power reserve and 30-metre water resistance. Renaud announced availability from April 2026, with the titanium model starting at CHF 49,000 before tax.
