What to know
The DWISS S1 Black approaches timekeeping as a moving diagram. Instead of conventional hour and minute hands, two rotating satellite discs carry alternating hour numerals across a curved minute track in the upper half of the dial. Inspired by the Moon’s orbit around Earth, the system makes reading the time an exercise in following motion. A central seconds disc adds another layer of animation against the black dial.

Designed by DWISS founder Rafael Simoes Miranda, the S1 has a 40 mm cushion-shaped case in sandblasted 316L stainless steel, measuring 44 mm lug-to-lug and 13.8 mm thick. A double-domed antireflective sapphire crystal protects the display, while a transparent caseback reveals the modified La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné automatic movement. It offers a 68-hour power reserve, runs at 4 Hz and is rated for 100 metres of water resistance.
The Black version comes with a black FKM rubber strap and butterfly clasp. Limited to 50 examples per colour, the S1 is a compact demonstration of DWISS’s central design idea: the way a watch communicates time can be as expressive as the shape of its case. The model debuted during the 2026 Geneva watch season.
