What to know

Australian microbrand EXOFI has stepped into the dive-watch arena with its first model, the Wolf Rock 42, spotlighted on October 19. Founder Lindsay Toy draws on a background in ship design and a landscape close to Noosa, Queensland: the rugged Wolf Rock dive site. The result is a sharply edged utilitarian watch that prioritises legibility rather than decorative excess.

The 42mm stainless-steel case measures 49.8mm lug to lug, and a faceted 120-click diving bezel surrounds the clean matte-black dial. The ceramic bezel insert, oversized applied markers and broad hands carry luminous material. A screw-down crown, internally anti-reflective double-domed sapphire and 200m water resistance give the watch useful diving credentials.

Under the caseback is a Miyota 9015 automatic with hand-winding, hacking and approximately 42 hours of reserve. The watch comes with a black FKM rubber strap. EXOFI lists reference EXAB Black at A$935 including Australian tax, with international taxes determined at checkout. It is available now; the manufacturer does not specify an exact first-sale date, so October 19 is the publication date of the first detailed launch coverage rather than a claimed factory launch date.
