A star-filled PanoMaticLunar celebrates 180 years of Glashütte watchmaking

Glashütte Original's PanoMaticLunar Anniversary Edition gives the manufacturer’s familiar asymmetric display a celestial backdrop. Created to mark 180 years of watchmaking in Glashütte in 2025, reference 1-92-14-01-03-61 is limited to 180 pieces worldwide. A deep-blue aventurine-glass dial sparkles with fine reflective particles, while the moonphase display uses a matching aventurine disc and a sculpted white mother-of-pearl moon. The white Panorama Date stands out against this midnight setting.

The polished platinum case measures 40 mm across and 12.8 mm thick. Its off-centre hours and minutes are joined by small seconds, the large double-disc date and the moonphase at roughly two o’clock. The layout manages to feel complex without losing the restrained geometry that defines the Pano collection. White-gold hands and solid-gold applied indices add quiet contrast to the dark surface.

Inside, the self-winding manufacture Calibre 92-14 offers a stated 100-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. A sapphire back reveals the Glashütte-striped three-quarter plate, hand-engraved balance bridge and off-centre rotor with a 21-carat gold oscillating weight. Water resistance is 50 metres, and the pictured version uses a dark-blue alligator leather strap. This is coverage of the 2025 anniversary launch, not a newly announced October 2026 watch.
