What to know

The Seventies Chronograph XV is a purposeful change of pace for Glashütte Original's often colourful retro chronograph. Its 15th regional limited edition trades bright dial treatments for a matte-black base, with silver-toned counters and restrained white printing. The result makes the 1970s-inspired square silhouette feel unusually contemporary. Production is limited to 100 pieces exclusively for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The stainless-steel case measures 40 by 40 mm and is 14.1 mm thick, with rounded corners and a matching three-link bracelet. Carefully balanced satin and polished surfaces emphasise the geometry. The adjustable clasp provides up to 8 mm of adjustment without tools. A screw-down crown and a manufacturer-stated 100-metre water-resistance rating maintain the collection's practical character.

Under the sapphire back sits the self-winding manufacture Calibre 37-02, offering about 70 hours of reserve. Alongside the central chronograph seconds and 30-minute counter, it includes a numeric 12-hour totaliser, small seconds, a power-reserve indicator and the brand’s signature Panorama Date at six. Its flyback function allows a running chronograph to be reset and restarted with a single action. Announced in June 2026, this version demonstrates how a different palette can recast a familiar case without abandoning its identity.
