Gruppo Gamma Genesis GG-14: fractured blue titanium gives the diver a new dial

The blue dial of the Genesis GG-14 offers one of the most visually distinctive treatments in Gruppo Gamma's revived military-style case. Rather than a conventional sunburst finish, the crystallised-titanium surface creates irregular metallic patterns. Large sandwich numerals, minimal printed text and strong lume emphasize reading the hour above all else.

Beneath a high domed, box-shaped sapphire crystal, the dial fills a 44 mm polished steel case with a screw-down crown. The Genesis dimensions are deliberately substantial: 53 mm lug-to-lug and about 15.5 mm tall when measured including the sapphire. Water resistance is specified at 200 metres, and the brown leather strap keeps the look closer to an old field instrument than a contemporary bracelet diver.

Its automatic movement is the Swiss Sellita SW200-1, with a 41-hour power reserve and 28,800 vph frequency. Gruppo Gamma lists the price at $890, with a temporary site notice that orders placed between October 14 and 31 will ship after November 1.
