What to know
The Ingenieur Tourbillon 41, reference IW345901, is IWC’s new flagship interpretation of Gérald Genta’s integrated-bracelet design. Its 41.6mm case and bracelet are made from 18-carat 5N gold, while the five functional bezel screws use harder Armor Gold. A dark olive-green Grid dial provides the backdrop for a flying minute tourbillon at six o’clock.

The tourbillon cage comprises 56 parts yet weighs only 0.635 grams. An integrated stop mechanism allows the balance to halt for precise setting, while Diamond Shell treatment on the pallet lever and escape wheel reduces friction. Automatic calibre 82905 uses ceramic-reinforced Pellaton winding and provides an 80-hour reserve. IWC will produce 100 pieces, making this the rarest and most technically ambitious modern Ingenieur.
