What to know
Kurono Tokyo has introduced the Calendrier Small Batch Release, returning to Hajime Asaoka’s triple-calendar concept with a new Saxe blue dial. The colour was considered for the earlier salmon-pink model but set aside; this limited production run gives that original idea its own moment. Its applied chrome Arabic numerals are made using electroforming, adding fine metallic highlights above a subtly patterned dial.
The 38 mm polished steel case contains an automatic Miyota 9122 movement with a 40-hour reserve. Day and month displays occupy two recessed counters, while the date appears in a small aperture near six o’clock. The watch measures 11.5 mm thick including its box sapphire crystal, and offers 5 ATM water resistance. Priced at US$2,380 excluding duties and taxes, it opened for ordering on September 24 and is now listed as sold out.

What distinguishes this small independent release is not a technical first but its unusually thoughtful graphic composition: soft colour, delicate typography, asymmetric calendar placement and restrained polished surfaces. It feels designed for someone who enjoys reading a dial rather than merely checking the hour.
