What to know

NORQAIN’s Wild ONE has always challenged the assumption that an athletic mechanical watch must resemble a conventional steel diver. The Wild ONE Skeleton Titanium Mint takes the design further by adding a Grade 5 titanium top plate above its resilient black NORTEQ structure. Bright mint-green rubber inserts frame the openworked dial, making the layered case architecture as visually prominent as the movement itself.

That case measures 42mm in diameter, 12.3mm thick and 49.4mm from lug to lug. NORQAIN combines a titanium upper plate and container, black NORTEQ back plate and rubber shock absorber to build a robust shell, while keeping water resistance at 200 metres. The metallic finish brings a different quality of reflected light to the design compared with the matte surfaces of earlier Wild ONE models.

Under the flat sapphire crystal, the view is almost entirely mechanical. Openworked bridges and diamond-cut indices surround rhodium-plated hands and mint-green Super-LumiNova details. Moving the NORQAIN wordmark to the dial ring creates more room to appreciate the movement's architecture, which includes sculptural bridges inspired by alpine peaks.

The new NORQAIN 4K Manufacture Calibre NK26/1 was developed with movement specialist AMT. It is a COSC-certified automatic chronometer running at 4Hz with 24 jewels and a 65-hour power reserve. The sapphire caseback displays its personalised oscillating weight and mountain-inspired structure, turning both faces of the watch into mechanical exhibits.

An integrated mint-green mesh-pattern rubber strap with black edges completes the strong colour story. The official listed price is CHF 5,550 with a NORTEQ pin buckle, with alternative buckle configurations available. The result is an unapologetically contemporary sports watch: titanium for lightness, layered construction for resilience, and a vivid mint accent that makes the openworked mechanism feel energetic rather than delicate.
