What to know
Reference 217.30.42.21.01.001 represents the most restrained version of Omega’s fourth-generation Planet Ocean. The redesigned 42mm steel case uses sharper surfaces, a flat sapphire crystal and a titanium inner ring, reducing thickness to about 13.8mm while retaining the collection’s 600-metre water resistance.
Its matte-black no-date dial uses rhodium-plated openworked numerals, broad arrow hands and Super-LumiNova. Automatic Master Chronometer Calibre 8912 provides a jumping-hour time-zone function and 60 hours of reserve. The integrated three-link steel bracelet includes six-position adjustment and a diving extension, completing a substantial structural rethink rather than a simple colour update.
