What to know

Otsuka Lotec’s current No. 6 places coaxial retrograde hour and minute hands inside a fan-shaped gauge. Both hands snap back to zero, while a central seconds disc and offset date provide the remaining information. The revised generation adopts a 42.6 mm straight-grained 316L steel case, bevelled components and sapphire crystal. Thickness is 11.8 mm and water resistance is rated to 3 ATM.

A Miyota 9015 automatic movement powers the maker’s own retrograde module. The combined mechanism contains 26 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies approximately 40 hours of reserve. A sapphire display back reveals the movement, and the watch is delivered on a 22 mm calfskin strap. Official Japanese price is JPY 495,000 including tax.
