What to know

The Otsuka Lotec No. 7.5 arranges time inside three turret-like windows inspired by vintage 8 mm movie cameras. Hours jump instantaneously beneath a custom sapphire fisheye lens, while minutes and seconds rotate on independent discs. The current 316L steel version alternates straight graining and sandblasting across its 40 mm case, which measures 11.2 mm thick and 14.8 mm at its highest point.

A Miyota 82S5 automatic movement drives Otsuka Lotec’s jumping-hour module. It contains 24 jewels, beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers approximately 40 hours of reserve. The watch has a sapphire display back, 3 ATM water resistance and a 20 mm calfskin strap. Its official price is JPY 396,000 including Japanese tax.
