What to know
The most unconventional Seiko 145th-anniversary model revisits the Rotocall digital watch from 1982. The signature rotating mode selector is finished in purple, surrounded by a black-coated stainless steel case and bracelet, while gold-coloured details link it to the wider Edo-purple collection. Its retro-futuristic design has a reported association with astronauts.
The digital A824 quartz calibre is rated to ±20 seconds per month under stated conditions and provides alarm, stopwatch and timer functions. The case is 37mm in diameter, 10.6mm thick, and water resistant to 100 metres. Only 4,000 examples are planned. Seiko’s August press release lists $585, while its current US product page shows $595.
