What to know
Timex and Dimepiece founder Brynn Wallner have reunited with vintage curator Alan Bedwell of Foundwell for a stealthier follow-up to the original Intrepid collaboration. Announced October 20, the new 36mm Blackout Edition switches to an entirely black stainless-steel case and matching synthetic-rubber strap while keeping the cream dial's distinctive early-1990s charm.

Purple accents on the seconds hand, twelve o'clock marker and dedicated INDIGLO pusher give the otherwise subdued watch a playful signature. A rotating timing bezel, skeletonised hands and crown near four o'clock distinguish the Intrepid from conventional quartz three-hand sports watches.
Reference TW6A19800 uses a battery-powered analog quartz movement and is rated to 100m water resistance. Timex lists the Blackout at US$269, with an EU price of €259 at launch. It is a small, graphic design statement that stays practical and accessible rather than promising mechanical luxury.
