What to know
What if a watch deliberately made its own shape difficult to understand? The new B/1 Dazzle from Toledano & Chan takes its visual cue from the disruptive camouflage painted onto warships during the First World War. Instead of attempting to hide a ship, the jagged pattern was meant to confuse an observer judging its outline and direction. Here that idea moves across an angular wristwatch from the dial, over the case, and along the integrated bracelet.
CNC-engraved grade 5 titanium is given alternating frosted and satin-brushed finishes. These textures catch light differently, making lines appear to shift with the wrist. Beneath the asymmetrical sapphire crystal sits a Swiss Sellita SW100 automatic movement. The standard Dazzle costs US$7,700 and is limited to 188 pieces; the Double Dazzle adds approximately 350 diamonds to the dial, costs US$9,700, and is limited to 12 pieces.

The two editions were unveiled in October 2026 with sales expected to begin October 24. They're provocative not because of technical complication, but because they turn a century-old visual trick into a three-dimensional industrial-design experiment.
